Introducing...

Another reason is the many connections he has been able to make, at the Anuga Fair in Germany, for example, which he truly considers his highlight of the year. He is now also starting to look ahead to 2024: preparations for the Gulfood Fair in February are now in full swing, for example.

Jens feels it is important to start closing distances and building good relationships again after the pandemic. That is why you will find him at the headquarters in Stellendam twice a week, but he is also happy to travel to you to introduce himself. So, if you haven't met Jens yet and would like to talk to him, please email him at jensvandemaele@leduc-food.nl. He looks forward to meeting you!

Jens: International Sales Manager at Le Duc Veggie

Jens Vande Maele, from the province of West Flanders in Belgium, has always had a thing for veggies. Having its home base in the Flemish Vegetable Valley – overlooking the potato fields – Le Duc, with its iconic Onion Rings, is the perfect place for Jens. As the International Sales Manager at Le Duc, Jens is looking to build long-term partnerships, with importers as well as distributors. "Together, we explore how we can create the right visibility in the market for Le Duc."

Initially, Jens was studying to become a French-Spanish interpreter, but he realized soon enough that he would prefer a commercial role. Long story short, he ended up in the frozen food industry, working for several frozen vegetable and potato brands. Jens has been working at Le Duc for six months now. "With a broad assortment of responsible, vegetarian snack products from the freezer, this is an excellent fit for me." At Le Duc, Jens focuses primarily on overseas markets, with an emphasis on Latin America and the Middle East; as well as the Southern European market. This means his language studies still come in handy!

Jens feels that the past six months at Le Duc have flown by. This is due, first and foremost, to his fun colleagues: "We all work hard but there is certainly also plenty of room for laughter".

This edition of our magazine is all about warmth, a cozy atmosphere and, above all, festive feasting! You can expect an array of tasty recipes and creative serving tips that will help you create delicious dishes and a great atmosphere for your guests, perfect for these winter months. From a generously loaded hummus platter to a cheese board with an updated look, or a spicy Korean rice bowl to warm your guests through and through. Now that the cold winter months are approaching, we are also diving deep into the food trend of the season: comfort food. So, what does this trend look like in 2023? We found out everything there is to know and will inspire you!
